As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating CNC lathes and mills, performing machine setups, and reading machine drawings to produce precision components for power transmission equipment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our products by utilizing your expertise in CNC machining and precision measuring instruments.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills to produce high-quality components according to engineering specifications.
- Interpret and understand machine drawings to effectively program and execute machining operations.
- Perform machine setups, including tooling, fixturing, and workpiece alignment to ensure accurate and efficient production runs.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy and quality of machined components.
- Monitor machine performance, make adjustments as needed, and troubleshoot issues to maintain optimal production efficiency.
- Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards to ensure a safe and controlled manufacturing environment.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in CNC lathe and mill operation, with a strong understanding of machining processes and tooling.
- Proven ability to perform machine setups and read and interpret machine drawings to execute machining operations accurately.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments to verify the quality and dimensional accuracy of machined components.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
