Maintenance Supervisor - Grade 11
High school diploma plus additional course work in a construction or maintenance related field. Minimum five years experience in the supervision of maintenance operations, construction or building trades. Satisfactory knowledge of applicable building systems. Must have basic computer skills (i.e. Microsoft windows, Outlook, Excel). Written, oral and leadership skills required. Must reside within a twenty minute commute and share rotating on-call duty with other management member in order to handle emergencies and
Responsible to the Maintenance Manager for the day to day direct supervision and performance of the union labor force. Works closely with the Maintenance Manager to ensure the proper maintenance and repair of all physical structures, properties, and equipment owned and managed by the Authority. Responsible for the coordination with the procurement department for the ordering and distribution of required materials to the work sites. Responsible for planning, scheduling, evaluating, and disciplining the work force. Reports deficiencies and makes recommendations to the Maintenance Manager. Works in close cooperation with Properties Administrator, Properties Management Administrator, and outside vendors and contractors.
