Job Summary:
As the Millwork Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of millwork projects from inception to completion. This includes overseeing project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, production, installation, and quality control. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, designers, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in millwork manufacturing and project management, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional results on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients, architects, designers, and internal teams to define project requirements, specifications, and timelines.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure adherence to established timelines and financial targets.
- Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors, and monitor production schedules to ensure timely delivery of millwork products.
- Oversee production processes to ensure quality standards are met and address any issues or deviations from specifications.
- Coordinate installation activities, including site visits, logistics planning, and coordination with contractors and other trades.
- Track project performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on project status, including progress, milestones, budget, and any issues or risks.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and team members to ensure open communication, collaboration, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage change orders, claims, and disputes in a timely and professional manner, ensuring resolution to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization, and innovation to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
-· Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing and project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
· Strong understanding of the fabrication processes, materials, and techniques, as well as construction methods.
· Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as MS Project, Primavera, or Procore, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members at all levels.
· Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and results-oriented approach to project management.
· Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
· Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
· Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) are a plus.
