Medical Assistant’s responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting physicians as they see patients, EKG's, phlebotomy, blood pressure, perform vital signs, writing prescriptions, providing support to Medical Records and other patient related duties. The Medical Assistant will be cross trained at the check in/out desks as well, assisting in checking patients in/out, verifying demographics and insurance information, scheduling appointments, collecting co-pays, verifying test authorizations. The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, communicates clearly, gets along well with others and able to multitask.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· MA Certification is required and BLS preferred.
· Excellent customer service and organizational skills
· Prior Medical Office experience is preferred
· Experience with Medical software and terminology a plus
