Our construction company is looking for a reliable and hardworking loader. As a material handler, you will be responsible for assisting in the transportation and loading of materials, equipment, and supplies on and off construction sites. This role is critical to ensuring the timely and efficient movement of goods required for various construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading construction materials and equipment from trucks and trailers.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other loading equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assistance in organizing and storing materials in designated areas on the construction site.
- Ensure that materials are transported safely and securely to avoid damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all safety protocols and instructions to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding material needs and travel.
- Assist with other general job tasks as needed.
Qualification:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and jacks (certification preferred).
- Physical endurance and strength to handle heavy materials and work in a variety of weather conditions.
- Increased attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Knowledge of safety rules and regulations at construction sites.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
