About us
We are an innovative and rapidly growing hybrid program in the Spring area. Our teachers are creative, inclusive and collaborative and we offer an unparalleled work environment. We have small classes (max 12) and low teacher to student ratios (1:6). The program is highly individualized and tailored to meet the needs of the individual child. We are a part day school program, offer teachers extended planning time, and provide a library of curriculum resources for our staff.
The Upper Elementary Teacher (ages 9-12) for our school is flexible, hard-working, and able to meet the needs of a wide range of ages and abilities. The ideal candidate will hold a state teaching certificate and be dedicated to fostering a positive and collaborative school community with a passionate commitment to education. Montessori training is provided. The position is approximately 32 hours per week. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to leave the traditional classroom and be able to implement best practices without high stakes testing.
Education and Experience
Required:
- BA/BS Degree
- Certified to teach in the state of Texas (or elsewhere in the US)
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff to enhance whole school learning environment and community
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- Commitment to professional development and best practices in education
- Commitment to meeting the needs of each child
Preferred:
- 2+ years classroom experience
- Montessori training
Position Details
This position begins in August. Hours are M-F from 8:00am – 2:30pm.
Essential Duties

The Teacher will:
- Perform their duties, enthusiastically, and satisfactorily at our school during normal working hours on regularly scheduled school days, and at other times as specified below. The Teacher agrees to devote full time and attention during normal working hours to their duties as a teacher and staff member.
- Adhere to all guidelines and standards, for the purpose of maintaining excellence and a high degree of professionalism.
- Respect the self, respect others, and respect the overall environment.
- Lesson plan weekly to ensure each child’s unique needs are being met in each area of the curriculum with lessons that support and generate curiosity and wonder, a deep love of learning, and strong academic skills.
- Keep accurate records, updated weekly, on individual student’s development and needs.
- Provide well-written, insightful updates to parents and family, using the school’s chosen avenues and adhering to the guidelines and schedule set forth by the Head of School.
Salary commensurate with experience.
