The Operations Generalist is a cross functional position responsible for general operational duties in a production environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Material Handling (Press and Packaging)

Properly set up and operate offset printing equipment.

Move, load, and prepare newsprint rolls weighing up to 1200 pounds.

Cleaning and maintenance of press and production equipment
-
Plate making and Reel tending.
-
Fork lift and clamp truck driving
-
Paper Inventory as needed
-
Monitor products for print quality.

Function clearly in a deadline driven environment.

Push large metal waste dumpsters into the warehouse.

Remain safety conscious at all times.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements, minimum education level, and experience:
-
High School Diploma/GED
-
Experience in production environment preferred
-
Flexibility to work non-routine shifts as required including nights, weekends and holidays

Must be able to use the tools and equipment associated with the printing process.

Must be able to discern color (cannot be color-blind)
Physical Requirements:
-
Must be able to stand for the shift duration and do physical maneuvers such as bending, stooping, and lifting 25-50 lbs.

Must be able to push and pull loaded carts.
