Job Summary:
This position works directly with ABA Connects clients on their individualized ABA therapy programs. You will be responsible for building and maintaining rapport, and keeping up to date on programming goals and implementing appropriate changes when directed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for each child. A Lead Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct therapy to clients, supports training activities for new RBTs/BTs, supports BCBAs with treatment planning and programming, and models he professional and ethical values of ABA Connect.
Position Goals and Essential Job Responsibilities:
Reasonable accommodation will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. The Lead Therapist is responsible for the essential job functions of a Therapist in addition to the following job functions:
- Be a direct contact for client families and liaison between BCBA and family/caregivers
- Create program materials for clients
- Deliver a minimum of 20 hours of direct therapy per week
- Provide in-person training for RBTs/therapists and give feedback to increase fidelity of services
- Fill-in therapy at other clinics, as needed
- Support BCBAs with treatment planning and programming

Qualifications
Education:
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Required license or certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- RBT certification maintained
- Valid, current driver’s license & current car insurance on vehicle
Preferred:
Working towards or has obtained a Degree in Behavioral Science or related field (such as; Psychology, Special Education, Elementary Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Occupational/Physical/Speech Therapy or Counseling/Social Work)
Additional Eligibility Requirements:
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Knowledge of Autism and other developmental disorders
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Previous experience working with a range of children with autism, developmental disorders or typically developing children
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment
- Passion for helping children achieve their full potential
- Ability to work on a team
- Willing to learn and implement new skills
Job Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential.
- 1+ years of experience working with children and teens.
Job Type: Full-time
Expected Hours: 40 hrs per week
Salary: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
