Job duties include but are not limited to:
· Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the nursing personnel (MT, LPN, Caregiver), as well as its programs and activities, in accordance with current rules regulation, and guidelines that govern the assisted living facility.
· Develop, maintain, and periodically update the Nursing Protocols as needed.
· Develop and implement a nursing personnel organization structure.
· Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the Executive Director, as necessary/required, concerning the operation of the nursing service department.
· Develop methods for coordination of nursing personnel with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents’ total regimen of care.
Participate in facility surveys made by authorized government agencies.
· Participate in the interviewing and selection of residents for admission to the facility as needed.
· Provide the Executive Director with information relative to the nursing needs of the resident and the nursing services department’s ability to meet those needs.
· Ensure nursing service personnel is informed of new admissions, their expected time of arrival, room assignment, etc. as needed
· Encourage attending physicians to record and sign progress notes, physicians’ orders, etc. on a timely basis and in accordance with current regulations.
· Review nurses’ notes to ensure that they are informative and descriptive of the medical care being provided, that they reflect the resident’s response to the care, and that such care is provided in accordance with the resident’s wishes
Qualifications:
- Current LPN license in the state of Arizona
- Preferred experience in healthcare management, preferably in an assisted living or similar setting
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Familiarity with home care services and the unique needs of elderly individuals
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Proficient in shift management and patient monitoring
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to ensure compliance
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
