Primary Purpose:
Assist in the administration, development, and management of the district’s K-12 Teacher Apprenticeship Program to ensure high-quality practices and candidate development. Implement and develop curriculum and training specifically designed for future teachers. Train, coach, and track apprentices within the Registered Apprentice Program (RAP) to ensure success in the program. Assist as needed with apprenticeship recruiting efforts, candidate screening and selection, apprentice supervision and tracking, training, coaching, data tracking and reporting, and other duties to build and strengthen the talent pipeline and create internship opportunities.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Master’s degree in education or related field
Experience:
- 3+ years of campus and/or district administration preferred
- Minimum 5 years of classroom experience
- 3+ years designing and implementing new teacher development
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of the selection, training, and supervision of personnel
- Ability to implement policy and procedures
- Ability to interpret data and evaluate instruction programs and teaching effectiveness
- Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, perform data analysis, and do word processing
- Ability to develop and deliver training to adult learners
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Implement and develop curriculum and training specifically designed for future teachers.
- Assist with the recruiting, screening, and interviewing of apprentice applicants and other applicants.
- Assist with the overall development and management of the apprenticeship program, including collaboration with apprentice and resident supervisors.
- Work collaboratively with all apprentices and assigned mentor teachers to establish realistic and measurable objectives for apprentice and mentor growth and development.
- Support the continuous professional growth and improvement of apprentice instructional skills through coaching and collaborative problem-solving.
- Observe classroom instruction and provide feedback and coaching to apprentices and classroom teachers to facilitate improvement and innovation.
- Develop curricular or behavioral support materials as needed for apprentices.
- Assist in the tracking, training, and coaching of all apprentices.
- Develop and manage materials, training, and other documents associated with the apprenticeship program.
- Collaborate and work with workforce programs, ensuring candidates receive the maximum benefits allowably.
- Maintain federal apprentice tracking within the RAPIDS system.
- Assist with the recruitment, selection, and training of mentor teachers.
- Assist with the placement of apprentices in district positions.
- Assist with the placement of apprentices with best-fit mentors.
- Engage with university and college institutions to help monitor and track apprentices’ progress with coursework.
- Oversee and develop onboarding programs and processes for newly hired apprentices.
- Engage and participate in grant applications and report writing process as needed.
- Support data efforts to oversee and report data tracking on a routine basis.
- Track changes to apprentices, including entries, exits, and progress throughout the program.
- Assist with compiling and reporting projections of apprenticeship needs.
- Assist in managing the Apprenticeship Program's social media presence to advertise events and recruitment efforts.
- Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rules, and local board policy.
- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.

This is a 226-day contract position.
The position requires work to be done in person and on-site.
