Position:
We are looking for a water/wastewater Assistant Civil Engineer to join our team. The applicant will work under the immediate supervision of the Project Managers and Engineers assigned to each project. Perform paraprofessional engineering office and fieldwork involving water/wastewater projects.
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
- Required: Bachelors in Environmental Engineering, or Civil Engineering or related engineering field.
- Required: 2-4 years of relevant work experience.
- Required: Possess an Engineer In Training (E.I.T.) Certificate, with the ability to become licensed within a year of hire.

Job Requirements:
All duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following requirements under the direct supervision of the Project Manager and assisting the team’s workload for all projects:
- Design projects involving potable water, wastewater, and storm drainage.
- Prepare documentation for water resources, regulatory program compliance, data management and analysis, and fieldwork.
- Perform hydraulic modeling and pipeline design.
- Conduct feasibility studies for the construction of facilities, such as water supply systems, runoff collection networks, water, and wastewater treatment plants, or wastewater collection systems.
- Design pumping systems, lift stations, pipelines, force mains, or gravity sewers.
- Design domestic or industrial water or wastewater treatment plants.
- Analyze stormwater or floodplain drainage systems.
- Design water distribution systems for potable or non-potable water.
- Design or select equipment for use in wastewater processing to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Identify alternatives for the development of new water sources.
- Design water or wastewater pumping facilities, including water wells.
- Perform hydraulic analyses of water supply systems or water distribution networks to model flow characteristics, test for pressure losses, or to identify opportunities to mitigate risks and improve
operational efficiency.

Salary:
Compensation for the position is based on education, knowledge, skills, attitude, and experience.
