Summary and Responsibilities:
We are looking for a strong leader to fill our Data Services Leader role to focus on empowering organizations to leverage information to transform and innovate in ways that were previously viewed as impossible. The Data Services Lead will develop solutions across the data lifecycle, tools and technologies as well as having strong skills in Data Architecture, Master Data Management, Data Governance, Data Development and Data Operations.
The Data Services Leader will be experienced in driving enterprise transformation, consulting on data and information solutions and management, leading consulting teams to define, design and implement client data solutions and services.
Must have prior consulting experience with Business Development focus.:
- Act as strategy lead on assigned accounts with a focus on transforming client’s business needs across enterprise data management practices
- Organizes and designs deliverables
- Ensures collaborative workflow and deliverable integration with other service areas (security, OCM, management consulting, digital and IT),
- Proactively works with Account Executives and the Business Development team to uncover opportunities for increased work with existing clients, develops trusted client relationships and pitches new ideas/opportunities that lead to new client engagements
- Builds and maintains high performing team; works closely with the recruiting team to identify needs and targets
- Student of the industry, keeping up on trends and developments
- Contributes significantly to authoring and executing contracts and subcontracts
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant data management consulting (data engineering, data architecture, data governance) or similar industry experience
- Prior Consulting experience delivering and driving enterprise data services and management:
- Minimum of 8 years of Information Management (IM)/Enterprise Data Management (EDM) project experience through all phases of the project lifecycle from scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and go live. This effort can be within a management consulting environment or industry
- Strong implementation experience and deep subject matter expertise in the following areas
- Experience transferring knowledge and best practices to client and internal staff
- Experience working with client’s Director and Manager level on a daily basis and comfortable with C-suite interactions
- Ability to work independently, manage components of large engagements
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint). Can write compelling technical proposals and approaches
- Strong strategic thinker: Ability to apply conceptual strategy, facilitate brainstorming, and direct day-to-day execution of projects through to completion with proven experience creating strategies that are executable through creative expression
- Exceptional leadership and organizational skills: Ability to manage, mentor and inspire direct reports and create a supportive work environment leading to their professional growth
- Demonstrated ability to develop and grow a service offering in a consulting environment
- Previous fiscal responsibility both budget and P&L. Able to develop annual budgets and be accountable for performance versus plan
- Ability to travel as needed (25-50%)
