We are looking for an entry level CNC Machinist for our afternoon shift (12:00 pm - 8:30 pm) Monday through Friday. Candidates must have a good attitude, safety minded, problem solving skills and able to work in a team environment.
Experience:
1+ year experience as CNC Machinist
Able to Program, Set up and make production runs using Mastercam
Must be able to read blue prints
Documentation and paperwork
Haas, Mori Seiki, Mazak experience
Expectations:
The entry level CNC Machinist will spend majority of their time operating a machine and making parts and part of their time providing work direction.
Operates CNC Equipment by entering programs, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
Sets-up CNC Equipment by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; trimming heads.
Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to Geotech standards.
Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes and reduce run times.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
Maintains continuity among department by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Documents actions by completing production and quality documentation.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Leads process improvement initiatives utilizing lean manufacturing tools and techniques
Interact and communicate with all department supervisors constantly
Responsible for overseeing inventory control paperwork and all documentation
Maintain TPM logs
5S and Lean Manufacturing a plus.
