Join a dynamic and established kitchen in downtown Ashland. Our service team is the heart and soul of our guest experience. The entire restaurant staff is required to uphold rigorous standards for hospitality and is responsible for delivering exceptional service to the thousands of guests.
Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of experience working within a high performing professional kitchen. Have a passion for food and creative input for specials and seasonal menus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include:
- Produce consistent dishes with measured ingredients for menu items
- Collaborate with the other team members
- Maintain a clean station and par levels of ingredients
- Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
- Rotate stock items as per established procedures
- Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts
- Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED required
- Able to read and follow standardized recipes
- Sautee, grill and/or wood-fired cooking experience
- Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures
- Able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere
- Oregon Food Handler's Card required - ServeSafe preferred
Expectations:
- Must have a neat, clean and professional appearance.
- Must be able to stand/walk for at least 8 hours.
- Must be able to bend, stoop and kneel.
- Must be well organized and able to handle multiple tasks at once.
- Must be able to effectively communicate in the English language.
- Must be available on weekends, holidays and afternoon shifts.
