Job Title: Graphic Designer / Production Artist
The Woodshop is a marketing and design agency based in Spokane, WA. We see ourselves as an in-house marketing team for our clients… meaning we don’t just do one thing. We’re wearing a lot of hats, and managing a lot of moving parts. Traditional + Digital Marketing, Social Media, Creative Design, Branding, Web, and Strategic Consulting.
As our Designer, you'll be part of a team working on ad creation for a variety of clients, working with tight brand standards or with full creative range. Other projects will include brand identity creation, marketing materials and collateral, packaging, social media ads, and plenty more.
We are an adaptable group, looking to add someone with adaptable skills. Specifically, we want to find someone who can design for print, digital, and websites. Image editing in Photoshop, basic animation, and illustration skills are all bonuses that would be highly valued.
You'll be the perfect fit if you are adaptable to multiple projects, changing paces in workload, and have a wide creative range.
Responsibilities Include:
- Art creation and production design for internal (TWS) and external (client) projects, including but not limited to:
- Ad design for Print, Social, and Digital Display
- Brand Creation, Style Guides, and Packaging
- Web Design for UX/UI
- Illustration as elements of design projects
- Trade Show Materials and other project-based needs.
- Proofing your own work, before sending out to Proofing Team.
- Your primary communication is with the team, but you may also communicate with vendors or clients to move projects forward. Responsiveness (during working hours) is important.
- Maintain visual consistency for projects spanning multiple platforms.
- Time management to accommodate a variety of paces needed for projects.
- Maintain timelines in project management software (currently Asana) as they pertain to design-related projects.
- Communication with the team around updates, needs, and follow ups related to design projects.
- Work independently and/or with the TWS team in the concepting phase of projects.
- Work alongside the team to find solutions to design-related challenges.
Skills / Workstyle Required:
- Proof of Creativity and Design Skills
- Fluent in Mac OS and Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, XD, After Effects)
- Proven ability to take projects from concept to completion
- Ability to work with and without set Brand Standards
- Time Management Skills, use of Project Management Software (Currently Asana)
- Comfortable in Google Suite (Drive, Calendar)
- A collaborative listener who can collaborate with other creatives
- Someone who enjoys working on multiple projects simultaneously
Experience:
- Degree in Graphic Design or related field
- 2+ years design-work experience, or killer references
- More experience a bonus, agency experience not required.
