Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Responsibilities:
- Direct Patient Care: Provide hands-on care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), ensuring comfort and dignity.
- Daily Living Assistance: Help patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments as directed by the RN or LPN.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Track and report patient vital signs, noting any significant changes to the nursing team.
- Safe Environment Maintenance: Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients.
- Emotional Support: Offer companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Care Plan Collaboration: Work with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Team Participation: Attend team meetings, case conferences, and in-service training sessions as needed.
- Compliance: Follow all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Qualifications:
- Certification: Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Minnesota.
- Experience: Prior experience in hospice, home care, or related healthcare settings is preferred.
- Compassion: A caring and empathetic demeanor with strong communication skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
