Patient Reception:
- Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Registering new patients and updating existing patient information. Verifying insurance information and processing necessary paperwork.
- Appointment Scheduling:
- Scheduling patient appointments and coordinating with healthcare providers. Managing and confirming appointments via phone or electronic systems.
- Communication:
- Answering and directing phone calls to the appropriate staff members. Providing information to patients regarding clinic services, policies, and procedures. Handling inquiries and resolving issues or concerns.
- Medical Records Management:
- Maintaining and updating patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Managing electronic health records (EHR) or other record-keeping systems.
- Billing and Payments:
- Processing insurance claims and handling billing inquiries. Collecting co-payments and payments for services rendered.
- Administrative Support:
- Assisting with general administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry. Coordinating with other departments within the healthcare facility.
- Compliance:
- Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy laws. Following established protocols and procedures.
- Customer Service:
- Providing excellent customer service to patients and addressing their needs. Resolving issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborating with medical staff, nurses, and other team members to ensure smooth operations. Participating in training programs and staff meetings as required.
- Adherence to Policies:
- Adhering to the policies and guidelines set by the healthcare facility.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using office software and electronic health record systems. Knowledge of medical terminology and basic understanding of healthcare procedures. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities. Strong organizational and time management skills.
