Full Circle is seeking a seasoned and energetic Human Resource Generalist to act as a solid business partner and employee resource for the organization.
JOB FUNCTION:
Serves as the primary contact for employees on issues regarding the organization's policies and procedures in support of all personnel, Managers and the Human Resources Manager. Provides guidance, counsel, and problem-solving support to Supervisors, teams, and individuals. Manages the hourly personnel placement function. Assumes responsibility for employee recruitment, hiring, and staffing of plant and office non-exempt positions, including placement of physically restricted employees. Composes job postings, coordinates job evaluations and corrective action. Responsible for the timely completion of payroll services and ensuring the attendance point system is up to date and accurate.
The HR Generalist role also oversees benefits enrollment and administration. Serves as a resource for cases involving unemployment administration and workers' compensation, assists with plant training and HRIS data entry.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Recruits and hires new employees for non-exempt positions. Performs all primary production staffing functions. Works with Human Resources Manager in recruiting for all non-technical office jobs at assigned location(s). Assists supervisors in job selections.
- Coordinates administration of unemployment benefits responds to supplemental unemployment benefit requests for information. Represents organization during unemployment hearings where necessary.
- Processes payroll for production employees.
- Manages personnel placement function. Coordinates efforts with other Personnel Administrators to handle placement of people and assigning temporary jobs.
- Performs benefit enrollments, modifications and manages year end open enrollment.
- Participate in developing goals, objectives, systems and recommend necessary changes.
- Develop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures
- Implements and annually updates compensation program; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; monitors performance appraisal program
- Talent management, i.e. maintain, develop as well as midterm personal planning
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business related field with demonstrated understanding of Human Resource laws; or equivalent experience. Proficient with computerized HRIS application software.
- Demonstrated ability to handle matters of confidentiality discreetly and work with employees on issues requiring varying degrees of sensitivity.
