Job Title: Legal File Clerk/Administrative Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal File Clerk/Administrative Assistant to join our team. You will be responsible for organizing and maintaining physical and digital files, ensuring efficient document management within the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in file management and possess strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- File and organize legal documents and correspondence in physical and/or digital formats.
- Maintain law firm files and records
- Organization of client documents and files
- Collect, label, and organize office documents, reports, and confidential records, including encrypted documents and email correspondence
- Monitor and manage kitchen and office supplies and inventory
- Provide general administrative support to attorneys and paralegals
- Act as a back up to the receptionist when necessary
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient knowledge of legal terminology
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
- Strong computer knowledge and skills, including with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to balance and meet competing priorities and tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
