Syenergy Engineering is looking to add an entry-level and/or a technician with previous DDC experience to grow and develop along with our expanding company.
Career Goals:
The technician(s) will learn and develop the skills to program, troubleshoot, commission, integrate, and maintain the various components involved in the DDC of various HVAC equipment and systems. These systems include but are not limited to air handling units, boiler systems, chiller systems, exhaust systems, roof top units, and variable air volume units. The technician(s) will gain diverse experience and manufacturer certification with leading manufacturers in building automation including Distech, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Siemens, and Tridium Niagara.
Starting pay will be based on previous expereince.
Expected Daily Responsibilities:
- Basic to intermediate troubleshooting / problem solving involving unitary DDC equipment serving air handlers, roof top units, exhaust fans, boiler and/or chiller systems.
- Utilization of testing equipment to troubleshoot, calibrate, and validate DDC and mechanical equipment. Including multi-meter, manometer, as well as humidity, pressure, and temperature sensing equipment, etc.
- Installation, configuration, and testing of HVAC components. Including a variety of sensors, valve actuators, damper actuators, VFDs, and control / safety relays
- Network configuration of Building Management Systems. Including supervisory, integration and unitary level devices.
- Network integration of unitary DDC equipment into Building Management Systems for customer interface.
- Learning opportunities to develop experience with various building automation systems.
- Interaction with project related documentation. Including architectural, mechanical, and electrical blueprints. As well as project shop drawings, manufacturer specific data sheets, and commissioning documentation.
- Utilization of Syenergy Engineering software application to update daily work tasks via Field Service Work Orders, Project Tracking, and Field Quotes.
Required Qualifications:
- High School or GED.
- Valid and Current Driver’s License.
- Ability to climb ladders and lift items up to 50 lbs.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite. Including Excel, OneNote, Outlook, SharePoint, and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with Distech (EC-gfx), Honeywell (WEBs), Johnson Controls (CCT / Metasys), Siemens (ABT / Desigo), Tridium Niagara (Workbench).
- Third-party integration experience (BACnet, Modbus, and Lon).
- Ability to diagnose and correct basic sequence, control, and / or wiring and installation issues related to DDC control components and / or mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and understand architectural, mechanical, and electrical blueprints.
- Ability to process sequence of operations from project documentation and develop, programing, and test logic for different HVAC equipment and systems.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Previous programming / coding experience.
- Previous IT / network experience.
