We are looking for someone who with manufacturing maintenance can set-up and maintain filling machines, pumps, presses, labeling machines, and other chemical processing equipment, packaging machinery, and facility maintenance duties. Candidates should have knowledge of pneumatics, electricity, plumbing, PLC, hydraulics and other mechanical or manufacturing experience.
DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment, including motors, conveyor systems, and transmission systems, to minimize downtime and unplanned breakdowns.
- Timely Repairs and Maintenance: Respond promptly to repair needs, maintaining operational efficiency and adherence to production schedules.
- Maintenance Process Improvements: Identify and implement improvements in maintenance procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Operational Readiness: Ensure that all plant and equipment are operational and meet production requirements year-round.
- Equipment Installation: Install and configure new production equipment, integrating them seamlessly with existing systems.
- Recommendation for Improvement: Analyze operations and suggest enhancements for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and performance.
- Communication with Management: Maintain open lines of communication with the management team, providing updates on maintenance activities and equipment status.
- Safety, Health, and Environmental Awareness: Champion a culture of safety and environmental responsibility, complying with all relevant regulations.
- Workspace Maintenance and Team Coordination: Keep the work area clean and organized, and coordinate with the production team to address equipment concerns.
- Specialized Equipment Maintenance: Set-up and maintain filling machines, pumps, presses, labeling machines, and other chemical processing equipment, packaging machinery, and perform facility maintenance duties.
- Technical Proficiency: Candidates should have knowledge of pneumatics, electricity, plumbing, PLC, hydraulics, and other mechanical or manufacturing experience to efficiently handle a variety of maintenance tasks.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIS):
1. Equipment Downtime:Measure the amount of time production equipment is non-operational due to maintenance issues. Aim for reduced downtime.
2. Maintenance Response Time: Track the average time taken to respond to and start addressing a maintenance issue after it's reported.
3. Repair Time Efficiency: Monitor the average time taken to complete repairs and return equipment to operational status.
4. Maintenance Cost: Monitor the total cost of maintenance activities, including parts and labor, with a goal to optimize and reduce expenses.
5. Innovation and Improvement Initiatives: Track the implementation and effectiveness of any new maintenance processes or technologies introduced.
