Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Seat guests and manage the seating rotation to ensure efficient use of tables
- Take reservations and maintain an organized reservation book
- Provide menus to guests and answer any questions regarding menu items
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system
- Process payments, issue receipts, and handle cash transactions
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests with patience and professionalism
Experience:
- Previous experience as a host or cashier in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred
- Familiarity with Aloha POS system or similar software is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures is desirable
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
