Summary:
This is an opportunity to be an integral part of the FP&A Team at Lipman Family Farms, responsible for providing key decision support to executive leadership in a fast growing, nation-wide fresh produce company. This role provides vital financial performance information and analysis and interacts daily with senior management throughout the company. Lead financial process improvements and actively participate in development of Business Intelligence reporting system. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Report on operating profit performance for weekly leadership reviews
- Perform financial forecasting and budgeting for operational locations
- Analyze results against prior year, budget, and forecast and identify trends for management review and decision support
- Perform monthly variance analyses to identify and resolve issue and improve forecasting going forward
- Respond to location General Manager requests for ad hoc financial analysis
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation and improvement of standard and ad-hoc reports and tools
- Active role on corporate Business Intelligence implementation team
- Prepare presentations to Board of Directors and Senior Management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- 2 to 4 years proven success in a similar Financial Analyst role
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel formulas and functions
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence software (Cognos, Hyperion, Microsoft Business Intelligence, etc.) a plus
- Knowledge of accounting concepts, particularly P&L statements
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Driven individual with the ability to complete tasks timely and accurately is critical
- Solid business acumen
- Experience in agriculture or manufacturing industries a plus
