What you’ll be doing:
The Van Driver/Support Staff candidate will support our Intensive Prevention Services (IPS) for youth who have come to the attention of the Philadelphia Police after a curfew violation. This position is located in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, PA.
In this role you will provide well-supervised group activities during high-risk periods. By assisting with creating structured activities helps to promote positive youth development with an emphasis on family engagement, conflict resolution, violence prevention, mentoring/coaching, and service linkages.
The Support Staff/Van Driver will provide support services and transportation services to the youth’s home and/or DHS if the youth’s home is unknown. The IPS Van Driver will work afternoons from 1:00pm up to 8:00pm. The Van Driver/Support Staff will provide additional building support when youth are engaged in activities; participate in programming, special events; complete daily vehicle logs; assist with meals; assist with set up and clean up; provide receptionist/security coverage when needed.
It is preferred that candidates possess a
· A current and valid driver’s license, driving record free of any moving violations or points, and a driving record that meets JJC insurance company insurability requirements.
· Experience transporting passengers in a twelve to fifteen-passenger van
· Candidates must have the ability to provide a clear Criminal background check, child sex abuse check, ACT 31/126 clearance, physical, and FBI fingerprint.
The position is a 40-hour work week with hours being from 1pm to 8pm with the flexibility to have a rotating schedule with various days off within the month. Schedule will be weekly as follows: Sunday through Thursday (Days off Friday and Saturday) Thursday through Monday (Days off Tuesday and Wednesday) Tuesday through Saturday (Days off Sunday and Monday) Monday through Friday (Days off Saturday and Sunday)
