Associate Financial Representative
John Calvert leads one of the largest practices within Northwestern Mutual, a Fortune 100 Company. The Associate Financial Representative serves as a liaison among the network office, home office, wealth management team, and clients. About the Role:
This is a full-time position for the individual who is eager to work with a highly experienced and nationally recognized private wealth advisor (recognized by Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors in 2022, 2023, & 2024), and work in a sophisticated wealth management firm.
This position requires up to four days a week in the physical offices (located in Downtown Los Angeles and in West Los Angeles) and the balance in the virtual office. What You Will Do:
- Carry out meeting preparation tasks.
- Execute client onboarding, tracking correspondence and follow-up items, and ensure information is accurately entered into the firm’s financial planning systems.
- Communicate with home office and internal departments to supply or obtain information.
- Monitor industry trends and research.
- Ensure compliance requirements are implemented and followed.
- Prepare and process all paperwork needed for investment/advisory accounts.
- Process/monitor funding of advisory accounts and asset transfers to ensure selected asset allocation is implemented.
- Expeditiously receive and forward checks and related paperwork to investment operations team.
- Collaborate with team members to develop consistent, high-quality illustrations and investment proposals.
- Work with Wealth Management Advisor to discuss, review, and finalize financial planning deliverables.
- Correspond with clients to manage advisory-related service issues.
- Maintain daily tracking system for account follow-ups and service requirements and communicate status updates with appropriate team members.
- Run performance reports to support in identifying planning opportunities and new revenue stream opportunities.

Requirements:
- Life, Accident, and Health Insurance licensed or obtain licensing within 3 months of employment.
- Experience working in customer service, preferably in the financial services and/or insurance industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft applications, and data entry and information retrieval software.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
