Lincoln Community Foundation’s mission is inspiring our community to give, act, and lead. This mission statement reflects the primary responsibilities of the Foundation including facilitating philanthropy, grantmaking and community investing, acting as a community leader to identify and address complex community challenges, and serving as a voice to inspire generosity through stories and information.
The Community Development and Outreach team is responsible for grantmaking, nonprofit engagement, and community leadership on behalf of the Foundation. Community leadership is what makes the Foundation an agent of change for the good of Lincoln and includes proactively identifying and creating awareness of community needs, convening and facilitating partnerships, and fostering collaborations toward shared community goals.
The Community Leadership and Belonging Manager is member of the Community Development and Outreach team and is responsible for designing and managing activities that help the Foundation fulfill its various community leadership responsibilities, with an emphasis on and leaning into the Foundation value of belonging. The position will collaborate with multiple teams, including philanthropy services and marketing, to incorporate community leadership and belonging into their work.
Essential Duties:
- Support implementation of the Foundation's community leadership function including community and nonprofit engagement, research, planning, grantmaking, convening, facilitating collaborations, technical assistance, and sourcing grant funds in support of community priorities.
- Support community leadership and grantmaking activities to identify, elevate, and address disparities and inequities in the Lincoln community; design and implement community leadership strategies to address inequities.
- Collaborate with philanthropy services and marketing teams to facilitate donor education through forums, events, and other forms of communication.
- Work with the philanthropy services team to facilitate collaborative philanthropy programs that support the accessibility of Foundation philanthropy tools and services so that the Foundation is a place where anyone can be a philanthropist.
- Work with the marketing team to help inspire educated philanthropy by communicating needs, activities, updates, and outcomes of community development priorities.
- Lead efforts to foster an inclusive and belonging workplace, and to educate the Foundation team on the Lincoln community, by coordinating the internal Belonging Team.
- Lead efforts to educate Foundation board members on belonging, equity, and inclusion including awareness of community inequities and current and potential approaches to addressing inequities and promoting belonging.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or an Associate’s degree combined with equivalent work experience.
- Experience with a mission driven organization, with preference for those who have worked in the areas of housing, education, human services, neighborhood development, or workforce development; preference for an individual who has worked to foster equitable outcomes for historically marginalized communities.
- Organized project manager with ability to coordinate multiple individuals and concepts toward a shared goal; ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Ability to convene people and facilitate dialogue among a group of stakeholders.
- Highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines while still maintaining attention to detail, quality and accuracy.
- Ability to interrelate with a wide variety of people including internal team members and external community partners.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite of products.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
