Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician
Pay Rate: $29.00/hour with increases at 3 months and 1 year
Location: Markleville, IN
Job Duties:
- Perform in industrial electrical settings and be familiar with three-phase power
- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair pouch and bag-making equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair reroll/slitter, lamination, and bubble roll equipment.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
- Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
- Use a variety of hand/power tools and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detect faulty operations, and defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
Requirements:
- Well-versed in industrial electrical settings and familiar with three-phase power
- Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques within an industrial manufacturing setting
- Background in extrusion is a plus
- Mechanical aptitude in machinery, plumbing, carpentry, hydraulic systems, etc.
- Well-versed in industrial electrical settings and familiar with three-phase power
- Experience with HVAC a plus
- Flexibility in scheduling for overtime, including occasional weekends
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Well-organized with effective problem-solving abilities, and have the ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to lift 45 lbs. without assistance, and assist in lifting motors, etc., of 120 lbs.
- High school diploma or GED
- Must supply own basic hand tools
