PB Loader Corporation, a leading manufacturer of Truck-Mounted Loaders, Asphalt Patchers, and related equipment, seeks a customer-oriented, motivated, and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join its dynamic team in Fresno, California.
This position is responsible for handling, picking, and consolidating material in staging areas for work orders. Responsible for keeping a well-maintained and updated inventory in designated locations. Additionally, must communicate any discrepancies and/or shortages to the Supervisor and Planning Department. Essential Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Comply with all manufacturing safety rules and guidelines.
- Identify material is the correct item, quantity, and quality against records to verify accuracy.
- Correctly tag material with printed label, or manually write part number, work order number, or job name as needed.
- Operate Company ERP computer system to accurately transact inventory utilizing workstation or scan gun.
- Coordinate with Material Handlers to pull items from stocking locations, Receiving, staging areas, and production lines as needed.
- Pulling, picking, and staging material to job carts per Pick List.
- Consolidate staged material by job name and/or work order number.
- Coordinate with Supervisor and/or Planning Department to address any materials shortages for specific jobs or stock in a timely manner.
- Review detailed CAD drawings to verify materials and compare against BOM and work order router.
- Perform cycle counts to verify the physical inventory count matches current inventory records.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse utilization, efficiency, and cost savings.
- Ensure Inventory is well organized and stored in correct locations.
Supporting Duties, but not limited to:
- Assist in Receiving, Shipping, and Production as required.
- Operates trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items using levers and controls.
- Comply with company policy and all state and local regulations.
- Adheres to policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Attends and actively participates in required meetings.
The desired candidate will possess these qualifications:
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or GED; and
- Minimum of 1-5 years’ experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics.
- Experience in operating material handling equipment preferred.
Certificates and Licenses
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Forklift certified preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be able to work well in a team.
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions, and work independently with little guidance.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to operate computers and relevant warehouse management computer software.
- Ability to establish and maintain rapport with diverse population.
- Customer service and detail oriented.
- Dependability in attendance and work ethic.

- Must be able to sit for lengthy periods when traveling to locations.

Work Environment
This position occasionally functions in a shop or manufacturing environment. Due to the nature of this work environment, there is frequent, threatening exposure to health and safety hazards including forklifts and other moving equipment, noise levels associated with moving equipment and heavy machinery, working at heights, extreme temperatures and humidity, and dust, gas, and fumes.
