We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial activities of our organization, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with governmental accounting standards. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, experience with accounting software, and the ability to work independently. This position requires and individual who is willing to wear multiple hats and assist all departments with questions, administrative support and be a team player.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Assist with legal paperwork and tracking for financial and HR
- Position requires knowledge of HR and liaison between legal and employees, assisting with benefits administration and support
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct budgeting and forecasting to ensure the organization's financial goals are met
- Use accounting software is required, Netsuite is preferred.
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards and regulations
- Experience with state and local taxes is recommended
- Provide financial support to other departments as needed (Company is a partner with another company, position will involved supporting other accounting team when people are off or on vacation)
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of financial concepts and their application to the organization's financial activities
- Identify and address financial discrepancies and irregularities
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all organizational policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- Experience in full-charge bookkeeping,
- Proficiency with accounting software (Netsuite preferred)
- Experience with PNC Pinnacle and Gusto payroll recommended
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts and governmental accounting standards
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to organizational policies and procedures
Position requires minimum of 3 days working on-site at the office, 2 days can be done remotely once onboarded.
