Job Duties May Include:

Follow all JIC safety policies and procedures to include proper use of PPE, lockout/tagout, parts handling and basket/rack/Die transportation

Use proper safeguarding during welding operations and use of machine shop equipment. Should not be using gloves when using drill press, etc.

Obtain proper training prior to using machine shop equipment, Drill Press, Mill, Lathe, etc.
-
Report all safety incidents immediately to supervisor or member of leadership team
-
Perform Monthly Safety Risk assessment or work areas and equipment that is used
-
Follow-Up of next production run on Die Sets after PM or maintenance activities are completed
-
Understanding of common stamping part quality defects and Die Condition impact to quality defects
-
Operate standard machine shop equipment that is needed for PM or repairs while receiving OJT
-
Set-up and operate MIG / TIG / ARC welders as needed while receiving OJT
-
Clean dies during preventative maintenance inspections
-
Perform preventative maintenance inspections as scheduled or requested by stamping production team which may include disassembly, inspect, lubricate, replace components and reassembly
-
Report any defects found during preventative maintenance inspections immediately to supervisor or member of leadership team
-
Report low quantity and out of stock supplies or components to supervisor or Die Maintenance support associate

Retrieve Dies from production floor that are needed for PM or repair and return to proper location when completed
-
Daily COP of work areas, Die Maintenance area and machine shop equipment
-
Maintain clean and clear of clutter work area, tool box and tools
-
Maintain appropriate documentation. Timesheets, labor sheets, Forklift and Crane inspection sheets
-
Communicate requests from other departments to supervisor
-
All work performed should be documented in Plex. This should include work performed and how long
Program Schedule: Associate can be in this position for a maximum of 2 years. Upon completion of 2 year apprenticeship, associate must have developed skill to advance to Technician Level. Otherwise, associate will be stepped back to general associate status
