Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in various legal tasks, including research, document preparation, and client communication.
Duties:
- Conduct legal research using resources such as Westlaw
- Assist in drafting legal documents and correspondence
- Manage and organize case files and documents
- Prepare materials for court filings and hearings
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other involved parties
- Assist with estate planning, patent law, immigration law, or personal injury law cases
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a law office or as a Paralegal
- Proficiency in legal research methods and tools like Westlaw
- Knowledge of various areas of law including estate planning, patent law, immigration law, and personal injury law
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
