This position is responsible for support of two programs; Hearing Aid Dispensing and Newborn Hearing Screening. The position is accountable for providing indirect patient support under the direction of a licensed Audiologist. The position is responsible for hearing aid device procurement, hearing aid vendor invoicing and coordination, miscellaneous hearing aid support and supply management, as well as data management for the Newborn Hearing Screening Program. Assists with other related ordering and program maintenance duties for both programs. Provides customer service to hearing aid patients as needed including walk in questions and hearing aid device support, dispensing batteries, hearing aid returns and repairs and patient/family instructions. Maintains office, equipment, and treatment areas in a safe, clean, and orderly fashion and participates in department.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Medical terminology/basic science and a basic understanding of normal infant development is preferred. Min one (1) year pediatric experience in a communication disorders setting (i.e. speech pathology and/or audiology) is preferred.
- Bilingual skills desirable.
POSITION DETAILS: Full time 80 hours per pay period
PAY RANGE: $22.70-$31.10
