MFA in Theatre with emphasis in Lighting Design is required.
Evidence of excellence in teaching at the university level or equivalent excellence in teaching-related experiences.
Strong background in lighting design rooted in professional performance practices.
Ability to provide industry standard accurate drawings and supporting paperwork, and model clear, collaborative communication for and with design and production students and production teams.
Ability to use and teach Vectorworks, Lightwright, and pre-visualization software; working knowledge of ETC light boards.
Ability to use and teach multimedia control software, such as Qlab, MadMapper, or similar.
Evidence of basic understanding of theatrical audio systems and their integration into multimedia projects.
Ability to teach digital media, projection design, and / or emerging visualization technologies.
Demonstrated supervisory and collaborative abilities; ability to adhere to production timelines.
