The Senior Maintenance Tech installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems. Trains and helps develop lower-level maintenance and production staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluates existing work instructions for preventive maintenance procedures and tasks and updates as needed
Installs and repairs automated machinery and equipment to ensure proper function and setup
Collaborates with Production and Engineering Departments on the design of new automated machinery
Routinely checks inventory levels on all critical spares and maintenance supplies; orders parts to maintain required levels; adds new critical spares as needed
Trains existing and new maintenance technicians regarding production equipment, maintenance equipment, spare parts, software, etc
Uses industrial grade software to troubleshoot, modify and backup automation controls
Establishes relationships with vendors used for equipment, parts and repairs and continuously evaluates existing vendors for cost and service level
Execute duties other Maintenance Technicians as a back-up when needed
Responds to Supervisory alarm calls from the security system which might require off-hour trips to the facility to investigate systems related to the bulk tank, freezers, cooler, pumps, and compressors
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years maintenance experience in a production environment
- High school diploma or equivalency (Some technical college is preferred)
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
- Forklift certifications required

Demonstrated high level of mechanical aptitude in a production and/or maintenance field
Basic welding skills
Experience with utilizing advanced carpentry, electrical, plumbing and machine repair skills in the production or maintenance environment
Basic computer skills: MS Office, Internet, email, ability to utilize industrial software and integrate it with machinery
Ability to train co-workers and build relationships with supervisors/manager and third party vendors
