Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Facilitation Specialist provides meeting and group facilitation services and supports training services for a variety of internal and external clients. They are a meeting and facilitation process expert that organizes, designs and facilitates general meetings and sessions and provide direct support for more specialized facilitation. An essential role is client relationships and providing excellent customer service to build strong connections with clients to determine their specific needs and retain them as partners. This position will manage their own general facilitation projects with support from the Director and Program Administrator.
The Facilitation Specialist also supports training services by conducting training when needed. Please note, this is not a training facilitator position.
This position must also continually pursue professional development opportunities to enhance skills and maintain a level of expertise in the field for both in person and online trainings and meetings.
The Facilitation Administrator will also occasionally perform administrative tasks, including recordkeeping, budget requests, and purchasing.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree is required.
Experience: At least two years of active experience in the design and delivery of a variety of meeting and group facilitation services. Training facilitation may not be substituted for experience.

Facilitation training or certification from a recognized organization is preferred.
Job Duties:
- 50% - Manage group and meeting facilitation projects. Managing the projects includes all planning and design, preparation, facilitation, and reporting. This includes general facilitation to be conducted in-person, online, and hybrid. As part of managing these projects, the Facilitation Specialist will closely collaborate with clients to assist them in reaching their desired outcomes, calculate proposed fees for service, provide and record accurate and professional reports following each facilitated meeting, and evaluate the effectiveness of their meeting processes and outcomes and adjust and grow as necessary. - (Essential)
- 20% - Assist with specialized facilitation and research projects. This includes drafting facilitators agendas, co-facilitation, interviewing, reporting and other supports as needed. Specialized facilitation includes strategic planning, occupational analysis, behavioral assessment, conflict management, complex problem solving. Research projects include qualitative and quantitative methods. - (Essential)
- 10% - Assist with training services. This includes conducting trainings and supporting training services as needed. - (Essential)
- 5% - Support daily operations. This includes occasionally performing administrative tasks, including recordkeeping, budget requests, and data collection. - (Essential)
- 5% - Pursue professional development and build internal and external relationships. It is imperative to the Center's sustainability that all positions continually pursue professional development opportunities to enhance skills and maintain a level of expertise for in person and remote trainings and meetings as well as continually build internal and external relationships. - (Essential)
- 10% - Supports the Center by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned. - (Essential)
