As a
Shipping & Receiving Clerk, you'll be responsible for supporting Aircraft Maintenance Technicians with their parts and tool needs, basic parts orders, maintaining records associated with ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, and equipment. You will also drive the company vehicle. The driver picks up and delivers documents, letters, packages, and other items on time for Western Jet Aviation. The driver also transports customers, personnel and visitors as required.
What you'll do:
- Receives-in shipments and verify shipments match PO requirements.
- Packages materials to be shipped, creates AWB, schedules shipments through approved freight vendors.
- Assists with shipping/receiving paperwork and systems input.
- Keeps track of all transaction receipts and purchase orders.
- Scans receiving paperwork, certs, packing slips, etc.
- Uses the ERP inventory control system to record receipt, transfer, and reductions of parts and rotables.
- Puts together aircraft kits for the technicians.
- Releases orders from ERP system to the technicians
- Works with techs to physically inspect parts and answer any questions on status of parts expected to be received that day.
- Reports to buyers requesting corrected paperwork and other quality issues when receiving materials.
- Reads and interprets documents safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals, packing slips, certs, work performed, SDS, etc.
- Responsible for material with expiration dates. Disposes of materials past their shelf-life.
- Writes routine correspondence.
- Collects tools for calibration.
- Conducts cycle counts and inspection of parts.
- Supports technicians at Parts Window.
- Operates a forklift to move parts inside warehouse and hangar.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Drives company vehicles to pick-up and deliver aircraft parts, documents, letters, packages, and other items in a safe, efficient, timely and legal manner.
- Transports customers, personnel, and visitors in company vehicles as required.
- Responsible for basic maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep of vehicles.
- Responds to inquiries about pick-up and delivery schedules.
- General administration duties and data entry.
- Create, use, and maintain documentation.
- Attends meetings and communicates status to supervisor and or teams.

Minimum Requirements
- 0-2 years or more as a driver / shipping & receiving, or parts clerk
- Intermediate to Advanced skill with Microsoft programs such as Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Must have a clear understanding of Inventory Management Software (Knowledge of ERP is a plus)
- Clean Driving Record
- Intermediate to Advances skill in Inventory Control / Parts Clerk

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- MRO / Aircraft industry experience preferred.
- Excellent customer services skills when dealing with staff, clients, and vendors.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to read and follow directions.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills; high level of attention to detail; outstanding organizational skills.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn new computer programs.
- Basic data entry skills required. Ability to handle multiple duties/priorities daily; ability to function effectively under deadlines and still maintain accuracy; able to keep up in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to read write, speak fluently, and understand the English language.
- Ability to work independently, as well as with team members; self-motivated; 'can do' attitude.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees throughout the organization and develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers.

- Must be available to work overtime when needed and be able to travel outside of the local area within short notice.
- Typical work is conducted inside a hangar; some work may be in the Aircraft Hangar. There may be some exposure to excessive heat, fumes, chemicals, and loud noise.
- Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse and be seated for long periods of time.
- Must have an Inspector stamp.
- Must possess mobility to work in Aircraft Hangar setting.
- Viable and reliable transportation to and from work required.
- Vision to read printed materials and a computer screen and perform essential duties.
- Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
- Substantial periods of physical activity, including but not limited to:
- Lifting / Carrying: 10-50lbs often and over 100lbs intermittently
- Pushing / Pulling: 50lbs often and over 100bs at intermittently
- Driving: An essential function of the position; Will drive as needed
- Twisting / Turning: Reaching over shoulder, overhead, outward, climbing, crawling, kneeling, squatting, sitting, walking on uneven or slippery surfaces

Salary: $24-31 per hour, based on experience
