Job Summary:
Dobco, Inc., is a highly successful public work General Contractor. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Construction Project Controls Manager who will be based out of our Wayne, New Jersey corporate office.
The successful candidate will be tasked with identifying, assessing, managing, and resolving construction claims, including delay claims, as well as analyzing and tracking project costs in connection with construction claims and disputes.
- Perform independent claims review and determinations and conduct detailed CPM schedule delay analysis.
- Analyze baseline schedules against executed schedules to assess claims and any delay impacts upon the schedule.
- Analyze causes of delay impacts and determine damages associated with same.
- Analyze escalation costs caused by labor wage rate increases and material cost increases.
- Present findings, attend meetings, and provide presentations concerning claims analysis.
- Communicate and interact with principals and executives of company as well as the legal department to develop claims resolution strategies.
- Track and monitor damages and project costs to be assessed through back charges to subcontractors in connection with defective work, default under a subcontract, breach of a subcontract, and the like.
- Provide contract support and claims advice across a wide range of ongoing projects.
- Prepare reports, graphics, correspondence, presentations, and abstracts of findings and opinions.
- Present findings and opinions during mediations and arbitrations.
- Visit active construction sites as needed.
- Participate in Project/Contract close-out process.
- Maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management or related degree from an accredited university.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction claims work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management software, Primavera P6 and/or other industry related software.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English. Candidates selected for an interview are asked to bring examples of past written work product to the interview.
- Knowledge of, and experience with, analysis techniques and methodologies, calculating and analyzing productivity losses, ability to interpret contracts and specifications, and ability to interpret architectural/engineering drawings.

Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
