Position: Maintenance Supervisor
Reports to: Facilities Director

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, painting, and other building systems. Under direct supervision of RFS Operations Facility Director.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Trains maintenance and Janitorial department staff using internal manual created by Operations Facility Director.
- Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of maintenance staff.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive together with Operations Facility Director.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the maintenance and janitorial department.
- Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
- Ensure outside contracted Preventive Maintenance work for HVAC and Plumbing are scheduled and performed on a timely manner.
- Develops maintenance procedures and schedules.
- Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Ensure janitorial staff is cleaning and disinfecting facilities
- Visit periodically sites in Kankakee to oversee any maintenance needs
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed.
- Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems.
- Excellent supervisory skills.
- Basic Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Bilingual Spanish and English
- Prefer live within Humboldt Park and Logan Square area
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be able to provide HS transcripts.
- At least five years of maintenance experience required. Must provide evidence of years of experience (previous positions on resume, letters of recommendation, etc)
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to travel between facilities to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance.
- Must have a working vehicle, valid license and insurance (provided with onboarding documents)
- Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking or traveling to other sites as needed.
- Should have knowledge of Microsoft technology for emails and responding to staff and programs. Some knowledge of Teams and able to use clock in/out system.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
