About Us
Medicus Management Services, LLC is a Management Service Organization which provides support for three separate but related healthcare companies, including USA Radiology Management Solutions, LLC. Medicus is seeking a controller to manage the daily accounting operations for both the Management Service Organization and the related healthcare companies. You will be a key member of the team reporting to the CEO and will be responsible for the daily accounting operations as well as guiding strategic financial decisions. Healthcare experience a plus, but not required.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of accounting (AP/AR, billing, general ledger entries, bank reconciliation)
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting principles and financial regulations
- Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to management, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and variance analysis reports
- Review and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to identify areas of improvement and recommend solutions to management
- Ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded, monitored, and reported in a timely manner
- Coordinate the annual benefits renewal with both the benefits broker and employees
- Process payroll and maintain payroll and HR records
- Develop and maintain relationships with tax accountants, payroll providers, benefits administrators, third party billers, registers agents, and other financial professionals to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Monitor and manage the company's cash flow, ensuring adequate funds are available to meet operating needs and capital expenditures
- Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for significant expenditures and capital distributions
- Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Maintain files and comply with record retention requirements
- Manage special projects and various business initiatives
- Additional accounting duties/special projects as necessary
Required Skills Sets:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting
- Self-motivated and able to work with limited direct supervision
- Demonstrate ability to communicate and receive instructions effectively through both written and verbal means
- Possess problem solving and decision-making skills
- Able to organize and coordinate work efficiently
- Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
- Extremely organized and ability to pay strict attention to detail
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with others
- Strong proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and QuickBooks.
Education
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or School Administration with a preference for CPA and/ or MBA
- Prior experience managing business operations
