Position: Grant Specialist
Classification: Full-time, Exempt
Reports to: Project Coordinator
Location: Houston, TX

Position Responsibilities:
- Maintain documentation and records appropriate for reporting and in compliance with Agency, departmental, and/or funder’s policies and requirements.

Follow funder and agency policies and requirements with accuracy and attention to detail.

Prepare reports on grant performance, metrics, and demographic information.

Respond to data requests from internal stakeholders.

Perform data checks in internal and external databases.
-
Support data management and data entry.
-
Create and edit electronic and paper forms.

Develop processes for data collection and reporting requirements.

Monitor programs for adherence to internal and external data recording and reporting.

Conduct project/program meetings according to established schedule and/or as needed.

Provide training and TA for DePelchin staff and subgrantee staff.

Assist with monitoring of subgrantees.
- Provide administrative support to the department.
Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or related field.

One (1) year experience working in a social service capacity/setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, or other web-based database.

Experience creating data visualizations.
Knowledge, Skills, and, Abilities:

Knowledge of non-profit services and programs.
- Possess persuasive, clear, and strong oral and written communication skills.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Ability to read and interpret data, information, and documents.

Ability to work effectively under time constraints to meet deadlines.
