Overview:
This position is responsible for performing obstetric and gynecologic ultrasounds while maintaining regulatory and professional ultrasound standards within a private office setting. This individual must exhibit strong decision-making skills and the ability to prioritize. A close working relationship with other sonographers, doctors and medical staff is essential to maintain cost-effective and patient-focused care. This position is responsible for providing care for patients undergoing ultrasound procedures using approved workflows and procedural protocols.
Responsibilities:
Performs routine and special ultrasound examinations consistent with established protocols per AIUM standards. Obtain and maintain additional certifications as determined by leadership (ex. NT certification). Assumes responsibility for keeping informed about changes in policies and procedures. Participates in maintenance of American Institute of Ultrasound Accreditation.

Qualifications: Education Required:
Associates Degree OR Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from a school that is accredited by CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs)
A combination of education and experience will be considered.
PREFERRED: EXPERIENCE: REQUIRED: 0-1 year of ultrasound clinical experience
PREFERRED:
1-2 years of OB/Gyn sonography
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers with OB-GYN certification; must have credentials on hire date and maintain at all times. Nuchal Translucency certified preferred but not required.
