Position Summary
The Line Cooks work with kitchen leadership to determine the production goals for the day and ensure quality products are being produced. The Line Cook is expected to prepare hot and cold foods for the restaurant and cafe, as well as catered events as required. Must have a passion for cooking and work well as part of a team. This specific position is for the Alpine Club Lounge and has a shift of 8am - 4pm.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
- Produce excellent quality and presentation of all menu items
- Know and comply with all presentation, cooking methods, portion sizes, quality standards, and cleanliness standards and procedures
- Keep the line and all other ares of the kitchen clean and assist in daily cleanings
- Stock sufficient levels of food products and tools to the work stations to ensure a smooth shift
- Set up and break down stations, ensuring proper food labeling and storage
- Note any low or out of stock items and report them to the Sous or Executive Chef
Qualifications
- Culinary experience required
- Communicate effectively and clearly with all kitchen and restaurant staff
- Familiar with all line stations, including the wood oven
- Knife skills
- Ability to multi-task under pressure and maintain a calm attitude with all personalities
- Act professionally with co-workers, bosses, vendors or any guests
- Must be able to stand and work in a kitchen environment for the entirety of a shift
- Must have a flexible schedule
- Must be reliable and show up to scheduled shifts
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and stay through the entire season
