Who we need:
The Maintenance Technician will perform a wide-range of repair tasks around Copa facilities and ongoing facility maintenance and complete repairs on equipment. Duties include fixing machinery, plumbing, drywall repair, wiring, inspecting buildings to confirm safety standards and scheduling major repairs within the various facilities.
Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent

1-3 years of maintenance experience in a similar position

Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and heating systems

Must have a fingerprint clearance card issued by Arizona Department of Public safety or eligible to receive within eight (8) weeks of hire.

Must have valid Utah Driver’s License, state minimum insurance coverage and ability to meet and maintain the company’s acceptable driving requirements.
Job Summary
-
Responsible for keeping the facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen.

Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, i.e., window, door, or wall repair.
-
Performing routine maintenance on water heaters, appliances, etc.
-
Repair broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures.
-
Complete repair on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs.
-
Apply and implement preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems, such as using a sealant on a flat roof.

Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
-
Painting the building when old paint has become faded or chipped.
-
Resolve and complete work orders in a timely manner.

Maintaining landscaping grounds of facility.

Contributes to an accident-free work environment by complying with operator's instructions for the use of power tools, wearing protective gear such as goggles, hearing protectors, back supports, and work gloves, reporting incidents of unsafe work activity to supervisors, and following standard safety precautions during work.

Contributes to the overall success of the Facilities Maintenance Department by performing other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned.

To ensure compliance & adequate services, additional job duties may be required to meet the needs of the program and or department, consistent with Copa Health productivity levels.
Standard work schedule: M-F 8:00am-5:00pm with flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
