Woodfield Boca Raton is expanding its Catering department and is currently interviewing candidates for
Catering Coordinator: to assist the Catering department in the coordination of social and catering functions ensuring member satisfaction at all times. The Catering Coordinator is also responsible for assisting with the catering sales effort, and banquet coordination, ensuring that each event booked complies with the expected high standards of quality and efficiency. Our candidate must be self-confident, creative, extremely organized, resourceful, energetic, detail-oriented and able to multi-task. Additionally, our candidate must be a professional with impeccable integrity and unquestionable ethical and moral standards and must also possess the ability to deal with highly demanding patrons with grace and charisma.
Responsibilities Include:
- Respond to all telephone and walk-in inquires.
- Prioritize the workload on a daily basis.
- Prepare and process all correspondence, contracts, BEO's, thank you emails and function information.
- Create floor plans for events.
- Distribute BEO's and other necessary information on a daily basis.
- Relay last minute changes/additions to BEO's to appropriate departments.
- Follow up on all details for functions with banquet staff, Director of Catering, Executive Chef, etc.
- Maintain an accurate and current filing system.
- Maintain orderly and accurate catering reservations bookings.
- Review all bills for accuracy before presenting to the client.
- Approach all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Remain alert, courteous and helpful to clients at all times.
- Performs special projects as assigned.
Specific Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferences: :
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook); May work within both indoor/outdoor business environment; May work extended hours; Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
