Reporting to the Assistant Manager and/or General Manager, the primary responsibility of the Dining Room Runner is to maintain the entire restaurant, including the dining room, storerooms, food pick-up area, and beverage station according to established cleanliness and stock standards
Core Job Responsibilities:

Work with servers to ensure proper guest service

Polish flatware, set up stations with appropriate silverware, glassware, linen, condiments, Ice, perishables, and accessories, and fold napkins properly.
- Remove dirty dishes, debris, and linens from side stations and bring them to the kitchen for proper washing and disposal of trash in designated receptacles

Assist in table maintenance if needed.

Ensure that dining room floors are clean and free of debris

Perform other job-related duties as requested

The Dining Room Runner performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department and assumes other responsibilities, duties, tasks, and assignments that contribute to the mitigation or response to any public health emergency. Perform other job-related duties as requested.

Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
Qualifications:
- Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Knowledge of hotel services, features, local attractions, and activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
- Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
- Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
- One (1) year of experience in a restaurant as a Bus or Runner preferred.
- Must obtain a health card.
- Experience working in a similar resort setting
Physical Demands:
- Work is performed in a Kitchen and Dining Room setting

Constant contact with executives, department management, employees, and guests.

Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions Lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
