Position Summary
The Marketing Intelligence Specialist will work with the Research & Intelligence team. This role will support efforts to inform firm strategy, business development, and client relationship management. This position works collaboratively with the full Research & Intelligence team, as well as the firm’s Marketing and Innovation teams.
Duties & Responsibilities

Research and create detailed analytical reports on the legal needs of potential and current clients, industries or geographical regions;

Analyze legal industry trends in terms of growth metrics, profitability measures, business development effectiveness, and return on investment;

Conduct searches related to Judicial or litigation analytics, case/party searches (docket searches), or IP related (patent/trademark/copyright) searches.

Assist with setting up docket track alerts, company alerts or news alerts for ongoing business development efforts.

Identify external resources to assist in understanding the competitive environment;

Prepare industry/company target lists, reports and profiles including background information, advisory relationships and market intelligence utilizing internal and external data sources;

Partner with other members of the Research & Intelligence Team to contribute to the effective use of internal and third-party technologies and resources to execute marketing intelligence functions; and

Assist with and manage a variety of short and long-term projects and day-to-day requests.

Qualifications & Prior Experience

Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree in library or information science, with course work in legal and business research preferred; Or other advanced degree with extensive legal research background will be considered.

Minimum of two years’ experience in a marketing intelligence, competitive intelligence, or corporate research role

Expertise in using computer-based research tools such as: Capital IQ, Intelligize, Lexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg Law, Docket Navigator, Lex Machina, and Pitchbook. Should also be well-versed in general internet searches and federal databases.

High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
