Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a
Project Manager to join our innovative engineering team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will p rovide overall strategic management, defines the program scope and objectives, manages project's scope, schedule, budget, and risk . This role is pivotal in driving our efforts in one or more phases of software systems development, systems integration, or network engineering critical to the USPS program's mission.
Required to be local to Washington, DC area. Remote work allowed.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
- Provide information to the Government regarding significant issues, provides recommended solutions in a transparent manner, and takes corrective action to issues brought by the Government Project Manager or COR.
- Develop project management plans, project documentation, work breakdown structures, project schedules, integrated master schedules, financial reports, and risk management documentation.
- Direct technical teams and facilitates the integration of subtasks to ensure the optimal use of assigned resources and subcontractors.
- Serve as focal point to the Government Project Manager for managing all tasks and subtasks and as Principal Representative for project direction and providing project status updates, including financial status.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years' work experience or Master's degree with 6+ years' work experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- U.S Citizenship or Green Card holder.
- Residing in the U.S for the past five years with no more than 6 months travel outside the U.S. during this time frame.
- Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members)
- IT delivery experience.
- IT Project management experience.
- Experience managing projects in both waterfall and agile software development methodologies.
Certifications of at least
ONE or more of the following required:
- GSLC: GIAC Security Leadership Certification
- GCPM: GIAC Certified Project Manager Certification
- PMP Project Management Professional Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
