Louisville Prosthetics is a small, family owned company, providing custom prosthetics for three generations. Duties-
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is obtained
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the office calendar
-Following up with new and prospective patients; provide them information to help them understand next steps
-Calling patients to remind them of upcoming appointments
-Coordinate with PCP and PMR offices to obtain necessary documents for supplies
-Communicate with VA rehab for authorization and MD evaluations
-Gathering and submitting documentation for appealing authorization denials
-Negotiating authorization and payment with Workers Compensation adjusters
-Obtaining necessary information to fulfill requests for Darcos and submitting invoices
-Submitting requests for medical records
-Working to obtain prescriptions to ensure timely delivery
-Coordinating pick-up or shipping of certain supplies
-Keeping exam rooms clean and sanitized
-Escort patients to exam rooms and assist patients with wheelchairs
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Assist with medical record management- including filing, scanning, and organizing documents
- Obtain Prior Authorization and process necessary paperwork
- Collect patient payments and provide receipts
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room
- Collaborate with providers to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient office operations
-Monitoring and ordering office supplies
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
Requirements-
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in medical office administration is a plus
- Previous experience working in a medical office setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is highly desirable
- Proficiency in using office software applications, such as Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare providers
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and schedules
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

**This position will require time to be split between two office locations on fixed days**
Compensation-
-Salary $38-43,000.00 based on experience
