Job Description:
The Dental Front Desk Administrator is the face of the practice and the first person that a patient would meet as they walk into the dental office. This team member welcomes the patients and helps them with any questions prior to their visits. This team member will be responsible for supporting dental office administrative activities including welcoming patients and checking them in, building and maintaining relationships with the patients, and making sure our patients are comfortable in the office. They also ensure that patients have what they need for their appointments and assists them to the clinical team.
- Provide excellent customer service to all patients
- Greeting and helping patients
- Answering phones
- Monitor and maintain the reception room
- Monitor the seating time until patient is called to the back and keep patient updated
- Keep all patients comfortable until called in to the back office for their appointment
- Confirm patient appointments prior to their appointment
- Contact patients who have canceled or do not have an appointment in an effort to schedule them
- Make outbound calls to patients and rescheduling broken appointments
- Verify insurance coverage and fee schedule
- Ensure patients have a completed the appropriate financial consent forms and financial agreements per their treatment plan.
- Collect payment from patients
- Maintain patient records with strong attention to detail and adherence to HIPAA Privacy Practices
- Serve as a liaison between the Doctors, other medical professionals and patients, as appropriate
- Ensure efficient office operations; including distribution/response to mail, answering and returning of phone calls and direction of workflow as necessary
Requirements:
- Front desk dental experience preferred
-2 years of dental experience required
- Eaglesoft experience preferred
- Highly motivated and organized
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Maintain productivity in a high volume multi tasked environment
- Computer skills and Microsoft Office Suite knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Has people skills and customer service experience
