The Lakes Region Humane Society (LRHS) in Ossipee is on the prowl for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a full-time Communication Coordinator!
We’re looking for someone who can purrfectly blend teamwork and cat-tastic communication skills. This role involves a 40-hour work week, from Tuesday to Saturday, 8 AM to 4 PM. Saturday availability is mandatory.
The position offers a competitive pay rate of $18 per hour, along with 120 hours of flexible paid time off, and the option for a Simple IRA with 3% employer match.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome and check in visitors, volunteers, and adopters with a wagging tail and a friendly smile.
Respond promptly and courteously to customer emails, phone calls, and messages. No bones about it, you’ll be the face of our paw-some customer service!
Collect and enter payments/donations and prepare weekly bank deposits. Provide support for fundraising events as needed.
Maintain accurate and updated paper and electronic records for both pets and humans. Be the cat-aloguer of all our important info!
Perform data entry and generate reports. Keep our data on a tight leash.
Confirm receipt of adoption applications, assist with processing, and schedule/conduct adoption appointments. Follow up with adopters to ensure smooth pet transitions. Help our furry friends find their fur-ever homes!
Investigate ownership of stray pets and coordinate reclaims with owners.
Coordinate the community pet food/supply program.
Make sure no pet goes without. Monitor supply needs and report them to the Executive Director.
Undertake various projects and other duties as assigned. Be the top dog when extra help is needed!
Favorable Skills & Abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills – be a good human to all our visitors, volunteers, and furry residents.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities – juggle multiple tasks without chasing your tail.
Professional demeanor with experience in conflict resolution – handle ruff situations with grace.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Data Entry, Canva, and Facebook.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team – collaborate like a pack and work like a lone wolf when needed.
Competence in taking and posting high-quality photographs – capture the purrsonalities of our adorable residents.
Physical Requirements Manual dexterity and physical capability to safely handle large dogs and scared cats.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds up and down stairs. Ability to walk or stand for extended periods.
Ability to tolerate animal fur, dander, and waste – embrace the furry life.
